Plant-it Vermiculite is natural sterile soft Mica Minerals which are an excellent addition for any potting mix. There are many benefits of Vermiculite including its natural ability to retain water and nutrients, when watering plants the Vermiculite will stop the potting mix from drying out and as Vermiculite has high cation exchange, nutrients absorbed can be slowly released into the plants keeping your mix hydrated and still accessing nutrients in between the watering regime.

As well as being highly absorbant, Vermiculite is also great for insulation, during colder conditions this can be your saviour keeping the plants well insulated and therefore free from the stresses caused by cold weather conditions.
